I caught this segment on the Good Morning America show this morning and thought it would be valuable to post it to my readers who tend to be local, small business owners and marketers. In this video clip titled “Social Networking Your Way to New Clients,” George Stephanopoulos interviews Tory Johnson.
It was interesting to me that she hit on several strategies I have recently blogged about to make your business more visible and credible:
- Reputation Marketing with Google Local Business Listings as a way to encourage customer reviews (70% of people who read reviews about a business trust them).
- Using Facebook Fan Pages to attract new customers
- Creating or claiming a local business listing on Google
Tory gives a few good examples of these and also mentions an example of how one company, Sprinkles Cupcakes, uses Twitter to drive business.
